WarnerMedia dazzles at Winter Press TCA
WarnerMedia warmed up critics to its stellar line up of new and returning shows at the Television Critics Association (TCA) Winter Press Tour on Jan. 15 in Pasadena, Calif. The full day of panels and presentations brought star power and premium content from HBO, TBS, TNT, HLN and HBO Max on day nine of the 12-day press tour.
After eight years off the air, the premiere date was announced for Feb. 23. TBS and TNT took the stage following HLNT with panels from “Miracle Workers: The Dark Ages” (premieres Jan. 28) “Chad,” and “Snowpiercer.” As part of the announcements for the day, TNT’s highly-anticipated post-apocalyptic sci-fi series, “Snowpiercer,” starring Oscar winner Jennifer Connelly and Tony Award winner Daveed Diggs, revealed a May 31 premiere date.
The day closed with an executive panel on HBO Max with Kevin Reilly, Sarah Aubrey and Michael Quigley. HBO Max also announced a slew of new greenlights and deals for the highly-anticipated direct-to-consumer offering, including “The Uninhabitable Earth,” an anthology series, written and directed by Adam McKay, a three-year overall deal with Steven Soderbergh and a three-part animated mini-series Aquaman: King of the Atlantis.
