Remote diagnosis saves lots of time.
“Error! Please have your car serviced soon!” There was a time when taking your car for a service meant an indefinite wait at the workshop. First of all, the technician would have to read the error log to make their diagnosis. Only then could they tell you what the next steps were. Depending on the service partner’s schedule and the availability of the spare part that was needed, you would then have to make a second appointment to have it fitted.
But second visits will soon be a thing of the past – because in the future, if the vehicle reports an error, the customer will simply call their BMW partner from the stationary car and consent to the transmission of their data. The service consultant will then perform a remote diagnosis over the air.
